Calibrating Multimeters and Multifunction Process Calibrators

According to the QLD Electrical Safety Act 2002 - Section 18 - (2)(b) : if a testing instrument can not be visually confirmed as being correctly functioning and safe - that the instrument is tested at least every 6 months to ensure it is in proper working order.

DC Current:             0A to ±20A   { *1000A for clamp meters}

AC Current:             0A to 20A (10Hz to 30kHz) (*1000A for clamp meters)

Resistance:             0Ohms to 400MOhms

Capacitance:           500pF to 40mF

Conductance:          2.5nS to 2.5mS

Frequency:             0.5Hz to 10MHz

Pulsed Logic:          TTL, CMOS, ECL

Pulse width:            0.05ms to 1999.99ms

Intervals:                0.1ms to 2000.00ms

Duty Cycle:             00.05% to 99.95%

Loop Current:         4-20mA or 10-50mA emulation 

 

Thermocouple Simulation: Types: B, C, E, K, L, J, N, R, S and T.

 

RTD Simulation:  -200°C to +850°C ( PT385 curve) or -200°C to +630°C (PT392 curve)

 

Ensure your equipment is in specification so that any electrical testing you do is conducted in accordance with AS/NZS 3760 "In-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment" or any installation work is done in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 "Electrical installations - Wiring Rules"
